Kevin Murphy

Kevin Murphy has spent over 30 years in the packaged goods business and is widely known as a strong strategic marketer, specifically gaining extensive knowledge of the North American food industry while serving on management teams acknowledged as driving impressive corporate growth. In 1996, Promo Magazine named him Marketer of the Year for his dedication to building brand equity and for his creative drive in developing and supporting cutting edge consumer marketing programs. Brand Week Magazine named him a Marketer of the Year in 1998.

Mr. Murphy was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the FPI Marketing and Value Added Group in February 2002, North America’s largest supplier of seafood to the Foodservice industry. Prior to joining FPI, Mr. Murphy spent two years as an owner/partner and Chief Executive Officer in Woolf Associates, a full-service sports and entertainment management and marketing firm representing hundreds of professional athletes as well as dozens of corporations – such as EMC, Verizon, John Hancock and Gillette. Mr. Murphy became a partner at Woolf Associates after nearly 21 years with Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc., from 1980 to 2001. At Ocean Spray, he most recently held the position of Chief Operating Officer of that US$1.5 Billion food and beverage company.

Prior to being named COO, Mr. Murphy was the senior officer at Ocean Spray with overall P&L responsibility for all domestic and international sales and marketing efforts, including advertising and promotions budgets in excess of $250 million.
